The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

We are an ambitious and supportive Corporate Finance team of 17, all focused on helping our entrepreneurial clients build and realise value over their growth journeys. We work across a range of high-growth, interesting sectors, including Tech & Media and Business Services. Our M&A team has six dedicated team members, spread across Partner to Executive. We work closely with our clients and are passionate about advising them to deliver on transactions in the £10m to £100m+ space. We have an established footprint in the lower-mid market and vast experience of cross-border M&A. From cash outs for entrepreneurs of high growth businesses to advising on the acquisition strategies of large corporates, our deals are exciting and varied. We work closely together and are driven in shaping our business for the future both in terms of culture and the work we carry out. We are looking to further expand this team through the addition of an Associate Director and are looking for an individual who can bring a different perspective and experience to feed into the evolution of the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Involvement in a range of transactions, from trade sales to private equity deals, working more autonomously with junior support on simpler transactions, and with Directors/Partners on more complex ones, as required.
  • Planning and carrying out assignments to a high standard, taking ownership of your work and running every assignment in accordance with the firm’s and the profession’s professional and ethical standards.
  • Briefing, supervising and reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary.
  • Being the main day-to-day point of contact for clients, as their trusted advisor.
  • Develop trust and good relationships with clients and referrers.
  • Supporting and advising team members, sharing expertise and knowledge to enhance development as well as using said knowledge to provide and execute the best advice for our clients.
  • Mentoring and developing junior Managers and Executives within the M&A team; including reviewing their work and providing feedback and guidance.
  • Be part of growing and developing the team over time, working closely with other senior members, and empowering and developing the more junior members.
  • Assisting with the management of resourcing across the immediate and wider team.
  • Take a proactive involvement in business development opportunities, including generating ideas for such opportunities.
Skills and Experience:
  • ACA/ACCA/CFA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Have corporate finance experience in delivering disposals (to trade and private equity), acquisitions, and fundraisings, with the opportunity to lead on as much as possible, with support of the team.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and intermediaries to be the main point of contact making material contributions, leading in meetings, and being a representative of the team and firm.
  • Have managerial experience in developing and training junior members of the team, and briefing, supervising, and reviewing work, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary on specific projects.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commercial and problem-solving mind-set.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects/leads and occasionally handle pressurised situations.
  • Experience of working in a similar role within an Accountancy Practice.
  • Commercial mind-set; have an ability to recognise cross-selling opportunities and develop sound professional relationships.
