St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School is seeking an Athletic Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year. The Athletic Coordinator fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by assisting the Director of Athletics and administration in the development of an athletic program to promote organizational efficiency in grades 5-12 athletic program. The Athletic Coordinator has decision-making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with school policies. The position is hired and evaluated by the Director of Athletics.
Essential Duties
- Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Continuously grow in your ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed.
- Model professional conduct, demeanor, and work habits.
- Assist in maintaining the athletic inventory including all clothing and equipment.
- Conduct ordering for new equipment, uniforms, player gear, following approval by Director of Athletics.
- Schedule all coach evaluations at the end of season with the Director of Athletics and Principals.
- Maintain current and accurate records according to school policy.
- Support the planning for Play Like a Champion Today training sessions for coaches, parents, and students.
- Communicate efficiently with coaches regarding their questions related to schedules, game/match confirmations, in support of the Director of Athletics.
- Communicate with administration/faculty regarding need for early dismissals in a timely manner.
- Facilitate timely communication with the coaches, parents, and Director of Athletics regarding team meals and game time/date/location/cancellations.
- Maintain the calendar for field and gym use for all activities.
- Maintain budget records and process expense requests and credit card purchases, according to budgetary expectations.
- Submit FACTS billing to Business Office, to help ensure collection.
- Support planning for athletic department events, including but not limited to athletic summer camps, tournaments, Cuts for Cancer, and other school-related events.
- Maintain the athletic section of the school website, after reviewing with school personnel.
- Help to ensure coach completion of necessary testing and training requirements by school – Bloodborne pathogens, CPR, and first aid, etc.
- Support the scheduling for transportation, hotel stays, officials, EMS/trainers for games.
- Maintain a work schedule that maximises availability to the school, students, and staff.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the work environment and support program planning.
- Communicate with parents upon request and respond to messages in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with school personnel to enhance the work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality related to all school matters.
- Follow the guidance and direction of the Director of Athletics.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited American university or equivalent in a foreign country.
- Experience: Experience with school athletic programs preferred.
- Certifications and Training: Current CPR/AED certification and first aid training. Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in an EIM Basic abuse prevention training workshop within 60 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment. Must complete Religion Certification Part 1 within two years of the date of hire, completing a minimum of 25 hours each year.
