We are now looking for an experienced Raw Material & Supplier Co-ordinator to communicate raw material requirements to the supply base and be the main contact between the HFUK procurement team and primal suppliers. To manage and review options when demand changes and communicate supply shorts and surpluses to the Red Meat Procurement Manager.
As a Raw Material & Supplier Co-ordinator, some of the responsibilities will be:
- Tracking suppliers’ deliveries vs agreements – holding suppliers accountable for shorts which lead to operational/service level issues
- Collating stock sheets for the Raw material scheduler and wider business if needed
- Reviewing options for short life stock in supply base along with the raw material scheduler
- Keep NZ schedules up to date, monitoring stocks and issuing POs
- Communicating NZ deliveries to site and wider business.
- Managing inbound purchases to external cold stores with suppliers
- Building frozen stock sheets for external storage – planning into future forecast and flagging surpluses to the red meat procurement manager
- Working with retail forecaster to understand short, medium and long-term forecast changes
- Tracking forecast changes and reacting with suppliers in order to maintain service level
- Highlighting forecast adjustments to red meat procurement manager to discuss and devise appropriate actions.
- Communicating forecasted requirements to suppliers and proactively fulfilling shortages
- Keeping the Procurement Manager for Red Meat informed of any relevant supplier feedback to forecasts
- Collating forecasted shorts summary and reasons to be shared and discussed with red meat procurement manager.
- Responding to any queries internally or externally regarding the forecast
- Informing materials buyer of nationality splits for label ordering
- Assisting Red Meat procurement manager with setting up red meat buys (beef & lamb)
- Maintaining supplier agreed prices in the tracker and system for Red Meat
- Keeping track of supplier KPI’s and communicate the findings to suppliers and working with them to advise and improve on.
To succeed as a Raw Material & Supplier Co-ordinator, we ask that you have the following experience/expertise:
- Pro-actively engaging the Procurement team with ideas for development
- Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Ability to monitor inventory levels, manage stock variances, and propose solutions for short-life stock and surplus inventory.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships, track deliveries against agreements, and address operational or service-level issues effectively.
- Skilled in collating, maintaining, and analysing stock sheets and schedules to support procurement and scheduling activities
- Preferred FMCG experience (not essential)
