Working within the Commercial function, you will play a pivotal role in gathering critical information and crafting winning proposals and contracts across complex, international projects. The role demands strategic-thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in managing multi-million pound/dollar opportunities and ensuring all details align with company objectives and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Proposal generation and execution β Lead the end-to-end process of writing, preparing and submitting bids and proposals and ensure technical and complex information is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stakeholder Engagement/Management β Build and nurture positive relationships with key stakeholders and communicate effectively with internal teams including, R&D, Engineering, Product, Legal, Commercial and Marketing, to align proposal goals.
- Project Management & Coordination β Manage multiple large-scale, multi-year and high value contracts and proposals simultaneously, ensuring proposals are submitted on-time and accurate.
- Regulatory Compliance β Leverage knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements to manage and adhere to international regulations and compliance standards ensuring risk mitigation and accuracy.
- Analysis and problem-solving β Apply analytical skills to assess specifications, contracts, business data and market analysis, ensuring compliant, high-impact proposals. Identify and solve challenges quickly, often translating complex engineering and systems information into client-friendly language.
- Proven experience within proposal writing for large-scale and high value projects.
- Previous experience working within marine or engineering related sectors is highly advantageous.
- Sound understanding of international contract management and cross-jurisdictional compliance.
- Degree qualified (Bachelors) within relevant/suitable field relating to contract management/law.
- Sound commercial acumen with a clear understanding of business strategies, pricing models and commercial risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement/collaboration skills and experience.
- Structured thinker, problem solver and an excellent commercial acumen for business strategy.
