The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our Bolton site. This will include ensuring that site, equipment and contractor/maintenance members meet HSE requirements; that maintenance working practices are adhered to in accordance with company standards; and that plant and process equipment is maintained to achieve availability/performance KPIs. Site improvements and modifications are to be identified and planned accordingly to ensure effective running of the site.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Plans / Define Targets: Responsible for developing and updating plans whilst working with the Maintenance and Facilities Manager to attain key objectives, targets and budgets whilst ensuring adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Monitoring: Oversee operations, processes, equipment and systems taking proactive measures to address and prevent abnormal conditions and issues whilst ensuring target attainment.
  • Co-ordinate Resources: Organise and manage resources effectively to meet required schedules and tasks.
  • Teamwork / Continuous Improvement: Foster a collaborative environment which is conducive to teamwork and encourage participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process / Area Improvements: Identify, support and lead short to long-term improvements in processes and specific areas.
  • Direction / Development: Provide guidance and support as needed to the wider Maintenance and Facilities team whilst assisting with training and development of team members.

Profile and Qualifications:

  • HND Calibre-Engineering/Maintenance qualification and NEBS or other managerial qualification.
  • 18th ed. Wiring Regulations.
  • Time served in Maintenance / Facilities (3 years min.).
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with contractors and contractor systems.
  • Good PC skills.
