Job Responsibilities

  1. Establish, implement, and maintain risk standards and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, agency, legal, regulatory, and Corporate Policy requirements.
  2. Oversee the Front Line’s execution and address challenges related to compliance decisions.
  3. Support monitoring of a risk-based compliance program.
  4. Develop and oversee standards with some business and functional knowledge.
  5. Provide compliance risk insights and support projects with low to moderate risk.
  6. Work with business units on compliance matters related to specific rules and regulations.
  7. Support reporting, escalation, and remediation of compliance issues and deficiencies.
  8. Draft reports and recommendations for management.
  9. Implement initiatives with low to moderate risk and support risk oversight activities.
  10. Manage data accuracy and troubleshoot system issues.
  11. Research regulatory rules and manage related projects.
  12. Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control.
  13. Build effective relationships with various teams and internal customers.
  14. Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives.
  15. Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  16. Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  17. Exercise independent judgment while understanding policies and compliance needs.

Desired Profile

  1. Maintain regulatory inventory in the system as per procedures.
  2. Perform quality checks on team work.
  3. Manage regulatory inventory team.
  4. Engage with QA, Legal, Compliance, and vendor partners for process updates.
  5. Coach and train junior team members.
  6. Monitor KPIs and ensure timely deliverables.
  7. Keep process procedures updated.

Qualifications

  1. B.Com, MBA, or M.Com with 10+ years in Banking and Financial Services, including 4+ years in risk management.
  2. 3+ years of People Management/Leadership experience.
  3. Experience in Compliance or related fields through work, training, military, or education.

Technical / Professional Skills

  1. Law degree or Company Secretary qualification.
  2. Experience with technology data entry processes.
  3. Ability to guide team on using SHRP Governance Management system (Archer platform).
  4. Coaching and training skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  7. Advanced MS Office skills.
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  9. Proactive, professional, and improvement-oriented mindset.
  10. Knowledge of SharePoint is an advantage.
