To provide a flexible support service to an adult male with an acquired brain injury. Acting in an enabling capacity, the role will be to help assist the client accessing the community, assisting with management of epilepsy and seizures; and motivate and support the client in accessing leisure, health and social services, appointments and to encourage the client's independence in the community.
We are looking to build a small team of committed, reliable and motivated individuals with a bubbly, outgoing character to provide support for a young man who lives at home with his family. The person you will be supporting lives in the family property. The client has acquired brain injury and epilepsy. He would like people to help and support him being involved in day to day activities and therapies. The things he likes to do include going to the gym, swimming, going out in the community.
He requires some supervision with personal safety and wellbeing, when out in the community due to seizures. You will also be required to write detailed notes on a day to day basis.
Minimum Requirements:- Applicants must hold a full clean driving licence and we must be able to obtain insurance for you to drive the client's vehicle.
- Previous experience working with people with a brain injury and epilepsy.
Rates of Pay: £20 per hour weekdays.
Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
