Sussex Steel is a CIO (charitable incorporated organisation) created by individuals who are passionate about Steel Pan music. As an organisation, Sussex Steel is committed to increasing music opportunities for people in Sussex and beyond, while also continuing to engage people in the art of steel pan. This includes teaching steel pan classes and workshops in several schools within the Sussex area.

The Sussex Steel group now boasts more than 60 performers across five different bands. They have played at a number of popular events including Brighton Pride and The Amex Stadium, to name a few.
