AWS Cloud Engineer required by advanced SaaS Fintech client within the B2B market who are growing their corporate customer base. Salary up to £65k with get-togethers once a month in London. They are currently preparing to scale an enterprise solution and need an Experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to implement improvements to infrastructure and help support delivery.

Exposure to the following is required:

  • Must have worked on database migration projects.
  • Experience in migrating databases to AWS environment.
  • Experience and working knowledge of migrating MySQL to Aurora projects, as well as AWS solutions such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Experience in AWS Migration Tools like DMS, Babelfish, etc.
  • Experience in providing migration approach, plan, and best practices.
  • Experience in building databases with high availability (HA) in AWS.
  • Experience in building DB backups and disaster recovery of the database with data integrity and security.
  • Experience in performance management and tuning of the databases to remove bottlenecks and ensure availability, including scalability techniques such as read replicas and caching.
  • Knowledge of edge computing solutions like AWS Global Accelerator.
  • Work with DevOps team to build and deploy the DB scripts in various environments.
  • Knowledge of basic security techniques and AWS or equivalent Open Source tooling.
