They are seeking a permanent CNC Operator/Programmer with expertise in Mazak and Fagor systems to join their team who specializes in either CNC Milling or Turning. This role requires proficiency in programming and operating CNC equipment, with a focus on reverse engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CNC machines, focusing on either milling or turning, with Mazak and Fagor controls.
  • Work with engineers to reverse-engineer parts and components, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Set up machines, install tooling, and ensure proper calibration for each production run.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet required specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Time-served machinist with proven experience in CNC programming and operation, particularly with Mazak and Fagor systems.
  • Experience in reverse engineering is highly desirable.
  • Experience in either CNC milling or turning.
  • Solid understanding of G-code programming and machine setup.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Shift Patterns

  • During Probation: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.
  • Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Friday, 6:00 am to 1:30 pm.
  • Back Shift: Monday to Wednesday, 1:45 pm to 11:45 pm, and Thursday, 1:45 pm to 10:45 pm.

25% Shift Allowance: A 25% shift allowance for back shifts after the probationary period.
