We have an extremely rare requirement for a Repairs Engineer to join our brilliant repairs team based in our depot in Centurion Way, Meridian Business Park, Leicester. We are looking for someone to undertake Factory Acceptance Testing and to diagnose faults down to component level, both on proprietary and 3rd party equipment. This includes both Electrical and Mechanical products.

Some of what you will do:

  • Repair these items, and test products against all appropriate test specifications to ensure products are returned to the customer in a timely manner and to a proven working standard.
  • Be competent in reading both wiring schematics, electronic circuit diagrams, and mechanical assembly drawings, in addition to having a logical approach to fault finding and diagnosis.
  • Detailed working knowledge of most types of electronic test equipment including Digital Multimeters, Frequency Counters, and Oscilloscopes.
  • Soldering competence on both through-hole and surface-mounted printed circuit boards.
  • Where necessary, be able to undertake Factory Acceptance Testing as part of the repair procedure, and assist any manufacturing partners as necessary.
  • Ensure personal compliance in quality, environmental, and health & safety.
  • Comply with all QHSSE Regulations and procedures for this role.
  • The role holder is also required to perform all reasonably assigned duties.

  • Demonstrable previous experience in a service & repair organization.
