Role Overview: This is an opportunity to join a highly experienced team of process and technical safety engineers delivering process engineering and safety lifecycle services to client companies across the globe in all industry sectors. You'll work alongside a senior engineer/consultant on all types of project sizes and complexities, with a particular emphasis on an agile approach to identify new and more efficient ways of working. The successful candidate will join our existing graduate development scheme and aim towards achieving chartership within a 4 to 5 year period.
Main Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:
- Technical Contribution: Performs basic process engineering and technical safety tasks to generate initial project deliverables cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. All deliverables will be reviewed and approved by senior engineers and consultants. Exercises judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods. Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.
- Contract Management: Identifies variation requests to support contract claims issuing.
- Planning and Control: Follows work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Supports risk assessments and implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Documents and handles technical risks according to mitigation guidelines.
- Customer: Clarifies technical queries for customers. Interacts with other staff and contractors within one’s scope of deliverables.
- Processes And Tools: Uses standard processes, software and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Reports process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.
Requirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Essential: Minimum 2:1 Masters degree level qualified in Chemical/Process Engineering from an IChemE accredited course. Clean UK Driving License. Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate.
- Desirable: Engineering experience working in High Hazard Oil, Gas & Chemicals Industry. Associate member of relevant institution e.g. Institution of Chemical Engineers.
