This role involves developing and executing US precision medicine access strategy, building internal and external resources, understanding reimbursement pathways, and engaging with PHDMs such as Lab Benefit Managers.
The candidate should have extensive pharma and diagnostic market access experience, prior customer-facing or account management experience, and marketing/payer marketing expertise.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and manage updates to payer policy & coverage dashboards for precision medicine testing.
- Conduct primary market research or ad boards to understand reimbursement leakage.
- Partner with external consultants to develop engagement strategies.
- Assess cost-sharing to inform patient affordability.
- Update landscape assessments for LBM and NGS testing.
- Engage proactively with key PHDMs to improve education and access.
- Develop and update value propositions and visual aids for PHDMs and HCP teams.
- Collaborate with account teams for strategy rollout and payer engagement.
- Serve as a core team member of the Precision Medicine CoE to lead access strategy design.
- Partner with V&E to incorporate RWE data demonstrating clinical and economic benefits.
- Gather insights to inform policy design and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- 10+ years in biopharma/diagnostics, with 5+ years in marketing or market access roles
- Experience in oncology and/or rare diseases
- Customer-facing or account management experience
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Willingness to travel (~20%)
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Analytical skills to interpret scientific and financial data
- Experience managing agencies and vendors
- Preferred: Companion diagnostic experience and people management experience
