The ideal candidate will have experience or education in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Microwave Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering. Working with customers in a consultative solutions sales focused role, helping them to select the right products/solutions for their Product Development/Research projects.
This is the ideal role for a candidate that has a technical background but a passion for people and likes to work with a wide variety of customers, projects and research topics. The role involves working closely with customers to assess their project requirements and how our clients' products and solutions can assist them.
Responsibilities include:
- Visiting customers to assess their product requirements and to gather information on potential sales and business opportunities.
- Representing the company at trade shows and showcasing new products and technologies.
- Working with product development teams, feeding back from end clients on potential product innovation.
You must be able to discuss highly technical concepts with prospective leads and have a commercial mindset. Willingness for some travel across the UK. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in sales engineering, technical sales, or a similar role within Electronics Manufacturing or a related industry.
- Ideally an understanding of testing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex client challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
This is a home-based role and there is a high degree of autonomy. Company car, commission, bonuses, and private medical are included. Ongoing training and development will be provided.
