We are seeking a dedicated individual with demonstrable experience in bid writing and successful fundraising to support our students through enhancing our on-site facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Speak, act, and vote in the best interests of the school, representing the perspectives of constituents where appropriate.
  • Respect all governing body decisions and support them publicly.
  • Act within the framework of the policies of the governing body and legal requirements.
  • Understand the school’s strengths, areas for development, and improvement plans.
  • Uphold the Nolan Principles underpinning ethical leadership in education.

Qualifications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the area and community served by the school.
  • Ability and willingness to work as a team member and accept collective responsibility.
  • Act in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Respect principles of confidentiality.

The Governing Body meets after school 5 times a year, and the Finance Committee 4 times, with 3 Governor Visit Days involving input from all school communities through interaction, learning walks, Staff and Student Voice, and strategic planning sessions.
