Pharmaceutical Sales Forecasting - Decision Analytics Associate Consultant Decision Analytics Consultants serve on project teams that deliver high-quality sales and marketing projects to clients. In particular, Consultants combine best-in-class analytic skills with strong problem solving and communication abilities to lead analytical work to help clients solve strategic, tactical, and operational business problems. Consultants may work on multiple projects simultaneously. As Consultants advance in their career, they often specialize in a particular industry, practice area and/or client relationship. The ZS Forecasting team supports EU-based pharmaceutical clients in sales forecasting for their in-line (already launched) and pipeline products. Such projects help our clients with their budget and supply planning and typically involves analyzing historical sales and market research and other secondary data sources to estimate future shares and sales.
What You’ll Do
- Work with project leadership to plan the project and develop approach
- Work with cross functional global project teams in design and execution of analyses required to successfully deliver any client requests
- Lead project task execution by keeping a track of project progress and proactively plan for the upcoming milestones to ensure timely roll out of deliverables
- Coordinate with the senior team members to gather inputs in timely manner to avoid delays in deliverables
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and help translate business requirements into actionable steps for junior team members
- Synthesize findings, develop recommendations and communicate results to clients and internal team in PowerPoints and verbal presentations
- Support the team in business development activities
- Contribute to internal firm activities
- Coach and mentor junior team members
What You’ll Bring
- Prior experience (3+ years) in Pharmaceutical sales forecasting is necessary for this role
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Master Degree in a quantitative, analytical discipline, such as Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering. Alternately, candidates may possess a PhD in marketing, economics, decision sciences or related field with a business application. In lieu of an MBA or PhD, 5-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute.
- Up to 3 years of post-MBA relevant work experience, and 3-5 years of pre-MBA relevant work experience, with evidence of strong consulting and analytical work (including use of advanced modeling techniques and tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, or VBA is a plus)
