Early Learning & Childcare Officer

Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning and Childcare Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the provision of a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment for all children.
• Contribute and implement a relevant curriculum in line with national and local guidance.
• Plan, record, implement and evaluate suitable programmes of activities.
• Maintain and record children\’s assessment progress.
• Promote parental participation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working or training in an early learning and childcare setting.
• Awareness of assessment and documentation of children\’s learning in line with national and local guidance.
• Ability to plan and deliver a relevant and inclusive curriculum.
• Knowledge of child development.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Required Practice Qualification:

• HNC in Childhood Practice at SCQF level 7.
• SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 7.
• Equivalents.

Successful applications must, within the designated timeline, meet the registration requirements of SSSC as a Practitioner of Day Care of Children Service.

Background Check: If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check. The level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
