Sunreef Yachts, a global leader in luxury multihull design and innovation, is looking for a Lead Engineer to spearhead the technical delivery of a fully custom 35-meter yacht built under Bureau Veritas (BV) classification.

You will take charge of multidisciplinary engineering coordination, ensuring compliance with international standards while working closely with our design and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team through all project phases: concept, design, construction, commissioning, and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with BV rules and all relevant maritime standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems integration.
  • Collaborate with naval architects, interior designers, and project managers.
  • Oversee technical documentation, drawing approval, and classification society submissions.
  • Manage change orders, technical specifications, and engineering budgets.
  • Participate in technical meetings with suppliers, clients, and classification representatives.
  • Support on-site problem-solving during yacht construction and outfitting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering for yachts or commercial vessels.
  • Proven experience with BV-classed vessels; strong understanding of BV rules.
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of marine systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to be based full-time in Ras Al Khaimah.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with hybrid propulsion, luxury yacht outfitting, or composite hulls.
  • Previous work experience in the marine engineering/shipbuilding environments.
