Woodlawn Specialist School is a fully inclusive school catering for pupils aged 2½ to 18 years with physical, medical, sensory needs and/or moderate learning difficulties. Governors of this exceptional Specialist School are looking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Headteacher to lead our Primary Department in our welcoming and nurturing school. This position has become available due to the previous post holder's promotion and career progression.
The core expectations of the role include:
- Being an exemplar of outstanding practice, establishing highly productive working relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
- Reinforcing the values, vision, and ethos of the school.
- Contributing to the effective day-to-day running of the school in line with Local Authority, National, and School Policies.
- Deputising and undertaking additional responsibilities in the absence of the Deputy Headteacher and on other occasions as necessary.
- Taking a lead role in developing an outstanding curriculum within your subject/expertise responsibility.

- Extensive knowledge and experience of working with SEND pupils.
