Post-Graduate Assistant Teacher of Dance and Sport Location : Brighton, BN2 0AL Salary: Alongside our attractive range of benefits, including free lunches, a salary of £22,294 per annum will be offered. This Post is term-time only. Please note that accommodation is not provided with this role. Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Post-Graduate Assistant Teacher of Dance and Sport to start in January (once pre-employment checks are finalised). This is a fixed-term role, until 31 August 2025. The Departments Dance The Dance department supports pupils through Level 1/2 BTEC award and in a wide range of dance styles in the co-curricular Dance School which provides Brighton College pupils with an experience akin to a specialist dance academy. The Dance School caters for over 300 pupils from Reception to Upper Sixth in over 70 lessons per week, ranging in styles from Jazz and Commercial Hip Hop Fusion to Ballet and Tap. The Dance School has allowed pupils to achieve many accolades including success at regional and national competitions, and successfully auditioning for world renowned dance company performances and training opportunities. The Dance department is based in the state-of-the-art Richard Cairns Building which boasts a 400-seat theatre and dedicated dance studio space. Key responsibilities include:
