Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager of Accounting to join our team at Precisely, a leading data software company. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing EMEA financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and enabling actionable insights for the business.
What You Will Do
- Manage day-to-day corporate accounting activities for our EMEA region, including sourcing transactions, review & analysis of accruals, and ensuring appropriate local GAAP and US GAAP treatment.
- Collaborate with US/APAC accounting teams, tax, shared services and FP&A for coordination with month-end close activities, forecast to actuals, and flux analysis to the C-Suite.
- Provide the legal and tax teams accounting documentation to support in liquidation of entities in the EMEA region.
- Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
- Demonstrate expertise in integrating financial systems and processes to streamline operations.
- Responsible for planning and leading a smooth statutory audit process with various auditors and service providers.
- Aid the team in developing account reconciliation templates, stat to GAAP walks, and diligently review account reconciliations.
- Champion a continuous improvement mindset, seeking opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency within the accounting department.
- Proactively identify and address financial issues, implementing effective solutions to maintain financial integrity.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary changes in financial practices.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master's in Accounting is a plus.
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior experience leading and coaching accounting staff, ideally in the software or technology industry.
- Previous experience in Big 4 accounting is a plus.
- Proven experience with NetSuite; experience with Saved Searches is a plus.
- Extensive experience in transaction analysis and a keen eye for detail.
- Highly dependable, hardworking, and motivated to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with FP&A, shared services, tax, and other departments, fostering strong working relationships.
- High proficiency in Excel.
