Role Purpose: Drive and coordinate medium to large sized renewable and T&D (substations & overhead/underground lines) projects across the UK & Ireland, acting as the local technical and commercial lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary design and delivery for windfarm, PV plant and high-voltage grid connection packages.
  • Manage client interface with National Grid and Distribution Network Operators; ensure compliance with UK grid codes.
  • Coordinate internal/external teams, budgets, schedules and risk.
  • Develop proposals, support bids and secure new work; achieve BD bonus targets.

Reporting:

  • Reports operationally to the UK Engineering Director for resourcing, profit and loss, and day to day delivery performance within the UK & Ireland.
  • Reports functionally to the Division Director – Energy & Industrial Facilities for strategic alignment, technical assurance, and access to specialist divisional resources.

Location: Primary base: United Kingdom (specific office or homebased to be confirmed). Mobility: Must be willing and able to travel across the UK & Ireland—and occasionally to Spain or other Ayesa offices—for client meetings, site visits, and coordination workshops.

Package: Competitive salary + Business Development bonus linked to Energy & T&D growth.

Key Requirements:

  • BEng/MEng (Electrical Engineering).
  • 10–15 + years in HV networks, substations and transmission & distribution, with ≥5 years direct UK Grid experience.
  • Proven project management record (EPC, utility or consultancy environment).
  • Strong commercial acumen and sales capability.
  • Mobility across UK & Ireland; full right to work.
