About the role: This new role is intended to support LUC's bid team in the streamlining of current processes and implementation of new systems. Whilst further developing your skills within administration, you will also have an opportunity to gain an insight into the daily life of a busy multi-disciplinary consultancy. The Project Administrator role will involve working across the breadth of the business, engaging closely with our technical teams of planners, landscape architects, landscape planners, ecologists and visualisation consultants on an exciting range of projects across the UK.

The Project Administrator will focus on several specific areas, which will include (but not be limited to):

  • Implementing a new streamlined system for generic inboxes, ensuring that all accounts associated with the existing inboxes are updated or transferred
  • Data entry and the update of records on the new project management system
  • Review and update the tendering portal accounts
  • Update the technical bid library and other pages within the bid section of the company’s intranet
  • Update any generic response sections and other tender resources

Other duties may be required, as requested by your manager and commensurate with your role and responsibilities. The role includes the opportunity to share and participate actively in the management and ownership of the business through the Employee Ownership Trust, which places full ownership of the company with the employees. The role is based in LUC’s offices in Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Sheffield, Edinburgh or Glasgow. We work in a hybrid model with people being in the office a minimum of two days per week. A full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). However, LUC has a strong track record in flexible working, and we have been recognised for our flexible working culture, so we are happy to discuss a range of flexible working options for this role including part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) if desired.

Salary: £24,575 FTE (Pro rata to number of months worked for a Fixed Term Contract)

Taking pride in maintaining accurate records, managing day-to-day office tasks, and ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, the successful person will be comfortable using a range of IT systems and office software. You will always be looking for ways to streamline processes, whilst bringing reliability, discretion, and a positive, can-do approach to your work, making you a valued team player at LUC.

Good working knowledge of MS Office packages, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.

Strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy.

Organised and flexible with the ability to manage multiple tasks and challenges in parallel.

Capability to prioritise and effectively manage own workload.

Ability to work well under pressure while delivering high quality work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.

Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Experience of using Adobe packages, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Intranet or document management systems (training will be provided).

Experience of working within an ISO Management Systems environment would be advantageous.

An interest in the geography and environment or experience of working in our sector or related field would be advantageous.
