The Modern Workplace Engineer is responsible for analysing, designing, and implementing business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness by using technology. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify requirements and areas for improvement, using existing tools and methodologies to streamline processes, and ensuring that changes align with the company's strategic goals. This role primarily focuses on the practical application like M365 Suite (Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, SharePoint and CoPilot) as well as other Open-AI based tools to meet operational needs and improve user workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Business Process/Model: Rethink, Analyze and identify opportunities to improve processes, practices, and procedures using prescribed methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Review existing operations in own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.
- Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Business Requirements Identification: Collaborate with business functions to gather and document requirements for technical solutions, identifying opportunities to replace manual or inefficient processes.
- Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be": Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required, including workflows, procedures and guidelines.
- Processes Automation: Analyze business processes to identify and implement use cases for Automation across departments, including task automation, data summarisation, and content generation.
- Technical Support: Provide advice, training, and assistance to users to resolve complex queries, and ensure smooth adoption of process and tool capabilities.
- Technology Implementation: Support specific technology implementation processes, aiding in the optimization of technology use.
- Insights and Reporting: Generate reports on process improvement initiatives, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for further improvement.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfil personal potential.
- Compliance Responsibility: Complies with applicable rules, laws, regulations and guidance governing their role responsibilities.
Experience Required: Technology or related field, or Equivalent Level Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Information.
