The Lifeways Group in Carlisle, Cumbria, is currently looking to expand their team of Support Workers in our local residential services. Harraby Croft apartments offer the ideal mixture of independent and shared living space. In these apartments, people can benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, while having peace and quiet when they need it too.
There are fourteen one-bedroom apartments, each with an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a wet room-style bathroom. Harraby Croft also has an accessible garden with a BBQ for residents to enjoy outdoors.
You’ll either be an enthusiastic person with plenty of patience looking for a career change to bring new life and experiences into our service. You’ll receive a fully paid induction with ongoing training and support from a dedicated Manager, along with the opportunity to undertake a funded qualification in health and social care, plus many more benefits when you join.
We work within the principles of person-centred support, enabling development and inclusion in daily life within the home and wider community. Each service user has their own self-contained room, and your work will be varied, supporting activities such as swimming, shopping, going for coffee, visiting museums, and attending clubs.
You’ll assist with general household chores like cooking, laundry, vacuuming, and dusting, and in some cases, personal care such as bathing, toileting, and feeding.
CONTRACTS AVAILABLE
- Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
- Part-time - 14 to 30 hours per week
- Sessional/bank hours (flexible working hours)
