We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to assemble and weld various components using different techniques. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools to ensure high-quality production standards.
Duties
- Assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Perform Stick welding and other welding techniques on sheet metal and various materials.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on welds to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, particularly with Stick welding techniques.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to welding tasks.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication processes.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
