Welder fabricator

Join to apply for the Welder Fabricator role at Westney Consulting Group.

We’re looking for skilled MIG welders experienced with mild steel and stainless steel, ideally with experience in conveying equipment, structural steelwork and sheet metal work. The role requires reading and working from drawings, and the ability to work on site.

Working hours & location

• Monday to Friday, 7:30–17:00 (frequent overtime available)
• Base locations: York, Shropshire and Scotland; commutable from North Yorkshire, Driffield, Pocklington, Tadcaster, Haxby, Pickering, Market Weighton, Selby, Howden, Malton, etc.

Remuneration & benefits

• £20 per hour (DOE) + unlimited overtime pay
• All expenses paid
• £40 daily allowance

Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ MIG welding experience.
• Experience with mild steel and stainless steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Valid driving licence (essential).
• Forklift licence desirable.
• Site based experience preferred.
