AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Business Operations Training Lead to sit within the Physics Business Operations Team. You will gain a unique insight into the leadership and governance of the Physics sub-function, working with both the management team and key stakeholders.
This role is ideally suited to a business analyst who enjoys working with data and automating processes, with an eye for trend analysis. The role would be supporting both tactical and strategic tasks across Physics, with a focus on training.
A successful candidate would have a broad range of skills enabling them to support designing and implementing a Training Hub using SharePoint, tracking, managing and implementing training dashboards, general data analytics, information management and communications to a broad range of audiences from the management team to the Physics staff in a wide variety of disciplines.
A proactive attitude is key for this role, with a willingness to innovate and identify new ideas to help Physics support the management team in a proficient, sustained and secure manner.
What You Could Be Involved With Or Responsible For:
- Building the Physics training plans and implementing the training strategy.
- Building training dashboards with useful metrics that feed into the sub-functions Visual Management Board (VMB) to track mandatory training, technical training and upskilling pathways.
- Establishing a Training Hub, keeping relevant SharePoint pages up to date with training opportunities, pulling together career pathway training curriculums.
- Shaping the Technical Training Modules and developing and implementing upskilling for staff across Physics.
- Arranging tours around facilities to broaden staff’s knowledge.
- Ensuring fair and equal opportunities offered to all early, mid and late career staff from a diversity and inclusion perspective.
- Supporting the Head of Physics and Physics Business Operations team with training related transformation activities, company initiatives, and any other reasonable duties that align to this position.

We are looking for someone with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to forge positive relationships in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment. As well as excellent verbal and written skills, you will need to have an eye for detail, the ability to analyse data and be able to challenge and problem solve.

- Working with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of a business.
- A high level of organisation with experience of setting up large meetings, ensuring all relevant documentation required, including proposals, escalations and performance reporting are delivered to the required quality.
- Knowledge of developing suitable performance measures, setting escalation triggers and governance tolerances.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of business operations teams ensuring successful delivery of business plans and objectives.
- A keen eye for detail providing insightful analysis, highlighting issues, risks and opportunities while identifying improvements and efficiencies.
- Experience of supporting review, learn and improve (RLI) activities.
