The Senior Site Contract Manager in Global Site Contracting is responsible for ensuring the timely and appropriate execution of Clinical Study Agreements (CSAs), Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), Master Clinical Study Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Facility Use Agreements, and other site-related agreements, along with associated budgets and service provider agreements linked to the CSAs. The role involves collaboration with R&D business teams and functional areas including Clinical Development Operations, Finance, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and external partners. The manager drafts, negotiates, and executes agreements, ensuring final contracts are delivered on time, within Fair Market Value, and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The SSCM serves as an expert in UK and Ireland contract management, mentors colleagues, drives excellence, and leads functional improvement projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the timely preparation and execution of CSAs, CDAs, budgets, and vendor agreements, acting as the point person for the assigned country/region in the US for legal, finance, and CDO.
- Negotiating agreements and budgets with investigator sites, utilizing templates and guidance, and liaising with legal for approval of changes.
- Providing input for updates to legal and budget playbooks and templates.
- Tracking CSAs, CDAs, country and site information, and maintaining documentation per company requirements.
- Managing priorities with stakeholders and escalating issues diplomatically and promptly.
- Leading process improvement projects and representing the US Contract Management team on broader process initiatives.
- Demonstrating high competency in contract management, negotiation, and business standards.
- Guiding and mentoring team members, managing workload, and ensuring effective team operations.
- Partnering with Country Operations Managers to ensure efficient work processes and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, business, legal, or scientific fields.
- At least 5 years of clinical research and/or contract/budget experience, with understanding of compliance and regulatory issues.
- Proven negotiation, interpersonal, and business skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and prioritize effectively.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local language, with conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive team player capable of maintaining performance during change and ambiguity.
- Experience in line or matrix management and financial analysis is advantageous.
