As an Energy & Utilities Account Solution Engineer, you will be a key player in the sales cycle, delivering thought leadership and owning solutions to enhance our customers' experience. You will collaborate with colleagues, support our sales team, and translate business objectives into compelling recommendations. With your technical and sales skills, you will present our product offerings, address objections, and inspire confidence in our technology infrastructure. You will act as a trusted advisor to our E&U customers while aiding the customer’s transformational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Convey a deep understanding of the client’s industry, challenges and technology as it pertains to Salesforce’s solutions.
- Understand the customer’s needs, and establish Salesforce’s product as the best solution that solves unique challenges.
- Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other teams.
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, build and present customised demos of Salesforce products including solution concepts to key decision-makers to address their business issues and needs showing business value.
- Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge vital to be effective in the position.
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
- Respond efficiently to RFPs.
- Manage and orchestrate a wider team of solution engineers and specialists.
- Lead the technical side of the sales cycle.
- Co-lead and contribute to the Energy & Utilities Industry ‘Go To Market’ propositions bringing innovation to the conversation for our customers.
- Support Marketing and events to drive pipeline and the industry understanding on the Salesforce industry capabilities.
- Ability to lead and bring in relevant skills from the extended Salesforce teams, and ecosystem to support the solution.
- Have a strong curiosity about growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Salesforce Product knowledge and certifications.
- Experience implementing Digital Transformation strategies and delivering increased success to their customers or business.
- Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, or delivery for an enterprise software solution organisation.
- Proven oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic team environment.
- Enjoy listening and challenging customers on their requirements and end-to-end process to help simplify and digitise their business.
- Experience in defining business/conceptual architectures that support the customer's business and enterprise-wide capabilities.
- Experience in translating customer requirements into solutions.
- Ability to work as part of a team in dynamic, energising environments.
- Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
- Loves to be the first to know something and to understand why and how things happen.
- Good at searching out information and experimenting, love to concentrate on a particular topic, and tackle puzzles.
- Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people’s attention.
- Willing and able to travel.
- Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
- Fluent in English.
