To provide operational support across all commercial areas including, but not exclusive to: The Taf Kitchen, Y Plas Kitchen, Snack Shack, Food Outlets & Gig Food.
Please note, you must be available to attend the induction days on Wednesday 10th September & Thursday 11th of September. This is currently the only planned induction day, so please only apply for this role if you are available.
There are online learning courses which must also be completed prior to starting work, details and logins will be provided. You must also be a student for the full 2025/26 academic year to be considered.
Main Duties- To maintain excellent quality at all times with the aim to exceed customer expectations.
- To ensure that all parts of the food preparation & storage areas are clean and tidy at all times.
- With support of a Career Chef to produce food orders quickly and to a high quality, meeting set departmental standards.
- To prepare food in a safe manner and adhere to food hygiene policy and legislation.
- Ensuring correct due diligence is carried out and recorded.
- To be aware of current menus, special menus and recipe specifications.
- To adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- To adhere to all Environment Health legislation.
- To be responsible for your own Health & Safety and observe all regulations in relation to the Health & Safety at Work Act.
- To be proactive in your approach to all tasks and duties undertaken whilst working within the venues.
Note that this role will require working within a working kitchen. Induction & on the job training will be provided as well as chef whites, hats (uniform) to wear whilst on shift.
Additional Duties- To carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by Managers or Supervisors.
- Help create a positive and encouraging work environment for all staff.
- Undertake training which is required to undertake the role e.g. (Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene).
- To attend individual and group meetings throughout the year aimed at addressing the following: Reviewing procedures, Giving ideas on improvements, Performance reviews, General updates.
