Responsible for safely loading, unloading and material movement throughout the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules and procedures.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Operate hand truck or various trucks from our fleet (fork, reach, picker) to move or convey shipments.
- Assemble finished goods, orders and load shipments based on established standard operating procedures.
- Prepare skids: straps, stretch wraps, weighs.
- Receive incoming shipments based on established standard operating procedures.
- Print and pull warehouse transfers and orders.
- Receive, inspect and store merchandise or materials.
- Execute all aspects of shipping orders and receiving product from outside vendors.
- Restock corrugated and production needs.
- Work with Production department.
- Assemble loads for other facilities as needed.
- Housekeeping responsibilities.
- Assist in training of new employees.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 yearsβ experience in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and packaging specifications.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present findings to a wide variety of audiences.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 49 lbs.
