About the role

We are currently recruiting a Building Care and Maintenance Assistant to join our team, focusing on maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of our housing estates. This role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being of our residents and upholding compliance with health and safety regulations. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can work to high standards and deliver services tailored to resident needs, emphasizing best practice and value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Audit contractors to uphold quality standards and project timelines.
  • Support and advocate for vulnerable residents.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
  • Implement environmental sustainability initiatives and maintain estate cleanliness.
  • Foster community engagement through events and feedback sessions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through training and standards adherence.
  • Produce reports on audits, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Manage resources to minimize waste and costs.

About You

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in building safety inspections, contractor management, resident support, emergency response, and maintenance. A commitment to environmental sustainability and proficiency in IT and housing management applications are also essential.
