Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Location: South Wales
Department: Paediatric Services
Rate: Up to £38 per hour

An exciting role has become available at Cardiff Council. They are looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional occupational therapy services to children, enhancing their independence and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting detailed assessments of children with diverse needs
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans
• Offering therapeutic interventions to support developmental progress and independence
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals, educators, and families
• Providing guidance and support to children and their families
• Managing a varied caseload and prioritizing effectively
• Participating in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and case reviews
• Maintaining thorough and timely records in line with professional standards

Qualifications and experiences:

• A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
• Experience in paediatric occupational therapy
• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
