We are looking to recruit Electrical Fitter within our Manufacturing business which designs, manufactures and repairs purpose-designed lifting equipment, based on site at Wednesbury WS10.
You will be involved with building new equipment and assisting with the refurbishment and assembly of overhauled equipment in the workshop, delivering high-quality manufacture and repair, on time and within budget, following company guidelines and customer targets.
As an Electrical Fitter, you will undertake all aspects of electrical fitting, including electrical duties related to manufacturing and repairing heavy-duty lifting and powered handling equipment.
You should possess attributes to help, assist, and guide colleagues from other departments within Lloyds British and the Speedy Group. You should be confident to advise on any defects or deficiencies that could compromise safety.
You will work closely with the workshop supervisor to ensure timely completion of workshop requirements, complete documentation, quality plans, instructions, and inspection records to meet schedules.
What you’ll need:
- Experience and skills to operate machinery and tools safely, producing components to required accuracy and quality.
- Experience with internal wiring and final wiring of powered industrial mechanical handling equipment.
- Apprenticeship in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- Competence in electrical wiring of powered lifting/handling equipment and industrial machinery.
- Ability and skill to operate relevant equipment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Use of measuring equipment for checking work.
- Full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
