FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a Trainee Service Engineer specifically covering the London region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and minor works of fire alarm systems in commercial and residential properties.
- Support engineers with fault finding and system testing in line with BS5839 and other industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and materials used.
- Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Attend college/training courses as part of the apprentice programme.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
- Consistently follow safe working practices and report hazards or incidents in line with company procedures.
- Ensure work is carried out to a high standard, assisting engineers in delivering compliant systems in accordance with BS5839 and other applicable standards.
- Actively participate in training activities and demonstrate progress through coursework and on-site performance.
- Represent the company professionally on-site and contribute to a positive client experience.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take initiative to support their goals and engineer efficiency.
