Systems Accountant – 6 Month Contract (Edinburgh / Hybrid)£DOE | Immediate Start

We are supporting an Edinburgh-based organisation who are currently undergoing significant business growth and preparing for the future. With over 20 years of legacy processes, we’re ready to transform — and we need a Systems Accountant to lead the charge.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Systems Accountant to help us modernise and streamline our finance operations. Currently running on Dynamics Dynamics , we need someone to drive automation, optimise workflows, and lead key finance system improvements — starting with P2P, AP & AR.

The Mission:

• Lead the automation of heavily manual AP/AR and P2P processes

• Eliminate spreadsheet sprawl and unify fragmented processes

• Implement workflows, improve data capture, and integrate banking systems

• Liaise with IT, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery

• Own the project roadmap and bring the finance team on the journey

About You:

• Proven experience in P2P transformation and finance systems projects

• Strong leadership in project ownership and delivery

• Comfortable engaging with IT teams and third-party suppliers

• Able to challenge the status quo and inspire change
