Senior Manager – Data Governance & Quality

Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of an Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance Framework across the Association. You\’ll lead the provision of Data Governance best practices to both IT and various Lines of Business (LoBs) and facilitate our Data Owner and Steward community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, enforce, and improve Data Governance strategies, frameworks, procedures, and standards.
  2. Monitor and enforce goals and KRIs related to data management.
  3. Define measures and metrics to track system user activity, compliance, and value, based on core program goals.
  4. Establish best practices for data, including an Association-wide Taxonomy & Data Dictionary.
  5. Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and promote data management awareness.
  6. Identify control points in the data lifecycle to ensure data integrity and availability.
  7. Lead data awareness training to foster a data-driven culture.
  8. Partner with Data Architecture team to improve data efficiency.
  9. Work with data domain owners and stewards to establish and monitor data quality metrics and improvement processes.
  10. Assist in establishing a Data Access framework across the organization.
  11. Build support across national and organizational boundaries, addressing issues and risks transparently.
  12. Maintain relationships with key partners to build trust and credibility.
  13. Provide expertise and consultation on new data-related programs.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification or experience in information management or data governance within complex business environments.
  • Understanding of information lifecycle management, data modeling, and Master Data Management.
  • Experience implementing Data Governance programs in a global context.
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
  • Ability to elicit and define system user requirements.
  • Experience with Data Integration technologies such as PowerBI, Atlan, etc.
  • Experience leading data transformation projects across multiple regions or products.
