The Council is continuing to develop its Adult Social Care offer, ensuring that we can be supportive and responsive to resident needs. We are looking for an experienced and confident professional to join our senior leadership team as the Service Manager for Safeguarding and Mental Capacity. This role will hold responsibility for our Safeguarding Adults Hub, established in January 2025 following the introduction of our new safeguarding operating model. Additionally, the role requires oversight of the Council\’s Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team, the BIA framework, and our countywide Review Team. We seek a candidate with a proven track record of excellent leadership and a strong understanding of the legislation and frameworks underpinning this important area of our work. About You: You have demonstrable operational management experience in a social care service environment. You possess strong communication skills to handle a range of customer-related queries. You are an experienced leader who can positively motivate others. You have extensive experience working within a CQC-regulated environment. You have a solid understanding of compliance, regulation, policy, and procedures in social care. You can effectively manage service budgets and related resources. You have demonstrable experience supporting change management. You are experienced in staffing management and working within employment legislation.
