A Lloyd’s Syndicate is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in their London office. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge, and be confident working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of a timely and accurate month-end expense close
- Track and maintain company expenditure within the general ledger
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly Travel & Expenses (T&E) reports
- Review work from outsourced finance providers and offer support where needed
- Support the AP Manager with ad-hoc tasks
- Contribute to finance-related ad-hoc projects as required
About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, particularly debits, credits, and accruals
- Comfortable reviewing and maintaining financial records in detail
- Able to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities
