Rayment Recruitment are currently working with a well established logistics company in Chelmsford, they are looking for an experienced Export Shipping Administrator to join their team.

The Role of Export Shipping Administrator involves working closely with overseas and UK teams, arranging shipments between the US and the UK. The Export Shipping Administrator is responsible for liaising between internal colleagues, customers, overseas suppliers and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service.

Role Involves but not limited to:

  • Contact with overseas shippers to arrange collection of freight.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers to develop more business opportunities.
  • Ensure customers and internal colleagues are fully informed of the progress of their shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and overseas offices.
  • Transfer electronic bookings (EDI) messages into relevant file format.
  • Raise Shipping documentation.

Experience needed:

  • Minimum 2 years Sea Freight Import or Export.
  • Good customer service and IT skills.

Hours are Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm three days a week and 12pm to 8pm two days per week. Either Hybrid or fully remote working available.

Salary up to £34,000 DOE.
