The Certified Nurse Assistant will provide basic patient care under the direction of the Vohra Physician and SNF Wound Care Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of Wound Care, providing Wound Care Education, and assessing patients for treatment. Wound Care knowledge is helpful but not essential. Vohra Physicians will provide training and certification in Wound Care.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) in good standing with the State.
  • Ability to relate positively and work cooperatively with facility staff, patients, residents, and families.
  • Must meet local health regulations, pass a physical exam if required, and pass criminal background and reference checks.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be willing to travel daily to partner facilities.
  • Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Vohra Physician during bedside rounds as needed.
  • Coordinate with SNF staff to troubleshoot issues for the Physician.
  • Ensure patients are prepared and available for rounds to facilitate efficiency.
  • Support the SNF wound care nurse with tasks such as incontinence care, patient positioning, dressing application, and skin exams.
  • Take notes during rounds, including wound measurements, locations, and treatment plans.
  • Assist with telemedicine visits and video conferencing tools.
  • Help obtain written consent for procedures when required.
