We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Portfolio Surveyor to manage and optimise the HA’s property portfolio. This role involves identifying acquisition opportunities, executing property swaps, and managing the disposal of residential stock to align with organisational strategy and market conditions.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess opportunities for acquiring residential properties that align with the organisation's investment strategy and growth objectives.
  • Negotiate and execute property swaps to optimise the portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and market conditions.
  • Manage the disposal of large scale residential properties, ensuring maximum return on investment while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that impact acquisition, swap, and disposal strategies.
  • Perform valuations and appraisals of residential properties to support decision-making in acquisitions, swaps, and disposals.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential acquisitions, swaps and disposals, assessing legal, financial, and structural aspects to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the viability of acquisition, swap, and disposal strategies.
  • Take the lead on special project analysis, utilising data-driven methodologies to evaluate performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and recommendations that support informed decision-making, ensuring projects align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Scope:

The Portfolio Surveyor will be responsible for managing and optimising the HA’s residential property portfolio by identifying acquisition opportunities, executing property swaps, and overseeing the disposal of large-scale residential properties.
