As a Machine Minder, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining processing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production. This role ensures adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality standards throughout the operation.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Setting up and operating production machinery
- Carrying out basic maintenance and ensuring equipment runs smoothly
- Assisting with manual handling and general production tasks
- Managing minor machinery breakdowns and escalating issues when needed
- Reporting any faults or concerns clearly and promptly
- Following work instructions and adhering to company procedures
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and health & safety at all times
KEY INTERACTIONS
- Internal - All operational departments (Technical, Finance, Quality and Engineering)
- External - Suppliers, Contractors, External Bodies, Local Authority
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience operating machinery is desirable
- A mechanical background is a bonus
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience in a food production environment is an advantage but full training is provided
WORKING PATTERN
- Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00/13:30-22:30 Rotating
- Pay Rate - £12.21 per hour starting rate
- Location: Thorne, Doncaster
