HOURS OF WORK: 0900-1700 Monday to Friday (Hybrid working)
SALARY: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
From our Engineering and Project Management offices in Ely, Cambridge, and Fabrication and Assembly facility in Swansea, South Wales, we undertake the complete design and supply of skid mounted or packaged equipment. Since 1989, OGS has supplied to satisfied clients throughout the world. We are accredited by major international operators in the oil, gas and power industries, gas turbine producers and EPC companies. Our scope of supply includes the responsibility for all stages of project execution including initial design, detailed design of process, mechanical, electrical, control and instrumentation, manufacturing, testing, packing and shipping. We also provide a site erection and commissioning service if required.
We are seeking an ERP Process & System Engineer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the ERP system, ensuring that the appropriate controls and reporting requirement infrastructures are in place to allow accurate management of projects, finance, and Supply Chain.
- Collaboration with department heads and key stakeholders to define the initial requirements for the ERP system, ensuring it aligns with the company’s processes and objectives.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and integration.
- Define the scope of the ERP project, including the modules and functionalities required to meet the business needs.
- Prioritize requirements and create a phased implementation plan to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Develop and manage a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- After successful implementation, seek to continually improve the ERP system processes, system controls and system performance in accordance with business requirements.
- Communicate effectively both upwards, outwards and downwards on issues and developments with clear recommendations and associated action plans to resolve problems and deliver improvements.
- Act as the ERP subject matter expert and advocate for it across the company.
- Ensure that the ERP practice(s) develops continuously so that the right tools, methods, and skills are in place to support business outcomes and provide a consistent level of service to the company.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hold a degree in computer science, engineering, or business administration.
- Have good communication skills, project management skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to teach their skills and new technology to other users and employees is essential.
- Have the ability to share with and listen to their peers.
- Be resourceful and reach outside the box in order to solve a gray issue is necessary.
- Have experience or knowledge in using proper technologies to implement and manage the ERP hardware and software, including the following:
- Creating custom reports.
- Data management.
- Data integration.
- Predictive analytics.
- Programming languages such as SQL or XML.
