What We Need

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Gunlocke team in Wayland, NY!

What You Will Do

• Operate woodworking machines
• Inspect the quality of all work
• Make machine adjustments to ensure satisfactory production
• Inspect work for defects and machined parts to ensure job specifications are maintained
• Pull required fixtures, holding devices and material as needed
• Insert and set tools in machine as required
• Adjust tool travel distance and input program instructions
• Set up and adjust saw blades, cutter heads, and boring bits using hand tools and rules
• Start machine and perform trial cuts
• Operate machines to saw, shape, trim, bore, and cut wood parts, including adding edging with contour banders
• Count and record production, stack material on shop trucks

What You Have

• Ability to meet high quality and quantity standards
• Compliance with company rules, regulations, and safety practices
• Ability to work in a factory environment with temperature fluctuations and exposure to dust, fumes, and noise
• Ability to work up to 10-hour days as required
