What we are looking for:

We are hiring a Mechanic to build out new trucks and equipment for our growing fleet.

What you'll do:

  • Up fit new trucks and equipment, install strobes, decals with company logo, tool boxes, basic hydro tool circuits and other accessories as needed.
  • Assure that new vehicles are properly prepped and are ready for service.
  • Install aux lighting and QPS systems on trucks and equipment.
  • Report to work ready to perform assigned tasks by using established safe work practices and by wearing any prescribed personal protective equipment. No exceptions.
  • Use the proper tools and equipment for each task and use them correctly. If knowledge or proficiency with the operation or equipment is questionable, ask before it is used.
  • Attend all weekly safety toolbox meetings. Be a participant and engage in discussion generated at such meetings.
  • Accurately report all work activities daily using the reporting means and methods provided by the company, including accurate daily timesheets.
  • Basic fabricating and welding.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • CDL license Class B or better preferred.
  • Proficient in basic electrical, should be able to install basic lighting and equipment such as inverters with minimal input.
  • Some basic welding and fabricating skills are preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Formal Tech School training is a plus but applicants with demonstrated experience will be considered.
  • Self-starter who is dependable, on time, able to follow company safety policies that are intended to keep you safe as you work and grow with our company.

What we offer:

The hourly pay for this role is between $25.00 - $45.00. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. This is a union position and provides union benefits.

This job-specific task list covers only the most important job duties. Employees assigned to this position title will also perform other occasional work assignments not mentioned above, including temporary assignments, training assignments, and other related duties.
