The predicted salary is between 17400 - 34800 £ per year.

Location: Wellington, Somerset (office based)

Hours: Monday - Friday (flexible start and finish times and would consider school hours, but will need to work hours across 5 days)

Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum (paid monthly)

Responsibilities:

  • Credit Control: Monitor and manage customer credit ratings, ensuring customers pay on time, pursuing overdue payments and forming a good relationship with customers' accounts department.
  • Purchase Ledger: Accurately record and manage purchase invoices, ensuring timely and correct entries into Sage 200.
  • Checking Prices on Supplier Invoices: Review supplier invoices prior to payment to ensure prices charged match the ordered prices.
  • Paying Suppliers: Utilise online banking to process payments to suppliers, ensuring timely and efficient payment cycles, and recording payments in Sage. Our client has an excellent track record of prompt payments to suppliers.
  • Handling Foreign Currency Transactions: Manage transactions involving foreign currencies, including ordering foreign currency as needed, processing foreign payments through an online portal and recording in Sage.
  • Sales Ledger & Processing customer payments: Assisting with some sales ledger tasks, processing payments and coordinating with team members.
  • Running Financial Reports: Generate and analyse financial reports as required.
  • Staff Holiday Calendar: Manage and maintain the staff holiday calendar.
  • Other Duties: Perform a variety of other small tasks and duties as part of this role.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Friendly, detail-oriented team player, with regular interaction with sales and purchasing teams.
  • Proficient in Sage software or similar.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and other relevant software.
  • Competent with online banking.
  • Strong credit control and customer payment processing skills. Good skills in talking to customers and building strong relationships with them.
  • A good, friendly but firm telephone manner.
