We are seeking an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to collaborate with hardware and software team of world-class engineers and researchers. Mechatronics Engineer – AI Technology £35-50k + Benefits London Ref: 23952 If you have a keen interest in AI and robotic technology, this role is for you. We have an exciting opportunity with our client who are paving the way to revolutionise mobility with advancing in automated technology. Mechatronics Engineer – The Role: Design, develop, or implement control logics or algorithms for electromechanical or pneumatic devices or systems. Conduct studies to determine the feasibility and performance benefits of new mechatronic and robotic systems. Perform in depth studies of vehicle conversion and retrofitting requirements. Identify suitable hardware, sensors, and robotic systems that meet functional safety specifications and meet platform/project requirements. Design and develop necessary verification and validation process for autonomous retrofitting, installation and commissioning Ensure system design and integration meet international standards Identify areas of improvement for delivering reliable and robust integrated vehicle robotics Support the system integration and commissioning Mechatronics Engineer – The Person: BSc/ Eng level or higher qualification or above in mechatronics engineering 4+ years’ experience in the field. Experience and understanding of CAN, Ethernet and other communications technologies Experience of controller programming languages: structural or ladder logic Knowledge and experience of Safety analysis tools such as FMEADA and international safety standards Proven ability to write industrial PLC software Able to understand electrical systems and schematics Experience and working knowledge of automotive systems Experience / knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience of programming languages C, C++ helpful Robotic experience also helpful This is an office based role with an occasional early start to support commissioning teams in differing time zones. This client has local Engineers therefore travel is minimal with this role. There will be the odd international trip for more specialised technical support or for exhibitions An excellent opportunity to work new technology. They are emerging from start-up status, having excellent Commerical success. Due to their size, benefits offered are currently standard but they are in talks with various suppliers to begin adding extras such as healthcare, enhanced pension and other employee perks.
