Manual Handler/ Line Operator- Heavy Lifting

Industrious Recruitment is seeking a line service operative to work for our client based in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity on a temp-perm basis.

Previous food experience is desirable. This role will include heavy lifting.

Working hours are from 6am to 6pm, on a 3 days on, 3 days off shift pattern.

Job Purpose

– To work as part of a team of line service operatives within warehouse & palletising.

– Carry out material movement functions, following company policies & procedures.

– Perform weekly stock takes.

– Carry out general warehouse duties in line with company processes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the smooth flow of materials throughout the production process and understand material handling.
• Maintain a high work ethic to optimize line speeds.
• Manage transport bookings for collections and deliveries.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Ensure stock accuracy and maintain stock management systems (manual & electronic) by liaising with planning & logistics teams.
• Complete daily/weekly stock counts and assist with monthly stock audits.
• Scan inbound and outbound materials accurately according to traceability procedures.
• Follow manual handling procedures at all times.

Packing and Loading

All staff are required to perform packing and loading duties.

Quality

All staff are responsible for the quality of products in their work area.
