Industrious Recruitment is seeking a line service operative to work for our client based in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity on a temp-perm basis. Previous food experience is desirable. This role will include heavy lifting.
Working hours are from 6am to 6pm, on a 3 days on, 3 days off shift pattern.
Job Purpose:
- To work as part of a team of line service operatives within warehouse & palletising.
- Carry out material movement functions, following company policies & procedures.
- Perform weekly stock takes.
- Carry out general warehouse duties in line with company processes.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the smooth flow of materials throughout the production process and understand material handling.
- Maintain a high work ethic to optimize line speeds.
- Manage transport bookings for collections and deliveries.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure stock accuracy and maintain stock management systems (manual & electronic) by liaising with planning & logistics teams.
- Complete daily/weekly stock counts and assist with monthly stock audits.
- Scan inbound and outbound materials accurately according to traceability procedures.
- Follow manual handling procedures at all times.
Packing and Loading:
All staff are required to perform packing and loading duties.
Quality:
All staff are responsible for the quality of products in their work area.
